Forklift Fuel Tanks

Forklift Fuel Tank - Some fuel tanks are made by trained metal craftsmen, though the majority of tanks are fabricated. Restoration and custom tanks could be seen on aircraft, automotive, tractors and motorcycles.

There are a series of specific requirements to be followed when constructing fuel tanks. Typically, the craftsman sets up a mockup so as to determine the exact shape and size of the tank. This is normally done from foam board. Afterward, design problems are dealt with, consisting of where the outlets, seams, drain, baffles and fluid level indicator will go. The craftsman has to determine the alloy, temper and thickness of the metallic sheet he will utilize so as to construct the tank.
